Burt's Bees are one of our favourite brands and have many great gifts including the head to toe starter kit and our best selling lip balm. Burt's Bees believe that what's not in their products is as important as what is. Certain synthetic ingredients, like phthalates, petrolatum and DMDM Hydantoin, should never be used in any personal care products labelled "natural."

Burt's Bees are renowned for scouring the earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in their products. They use only natural colours in their people-care products. As far as fragrance goes, they use it only when necessary, and it is always phthalate-free.

Burt's Bees manufactures their products with natural ingredients using minimal processing such as distillation/condensation, extraction/steamed distillation/pressure cooking and hydrolysis to maintain the purity of those ingredients. In addition, every product has a "natural bar" which gives a percentage of natural ingredients in that product, often with detailed ingredient descriptions.
