Burt's Bees believe that what's not in their products is as important as what is. Certain synthetic ingredients, like phthalates, petrolatum and DMDM Hydantoin, should never be used in any personal care products labelled "natural."

Burt's Bees are renowned for scouring the earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in their products. They use only natural colours in their people-care products. As far as fragrance goes, they use it only when necessary, and it is always phthalate-free.

Burt's Bees manufactures their products with natural ingredients using minimal processing such as distillation/condensation, extraction/steamed distillation/pressure cooking and hydrolysis to maintain the purity of those ingredients. In addition, every product has a "natural bar" which gives a percentage of natural ingredients in that product, often with detailed ingredient descriptions.

This is my desert island product!! This is, without a doubt, the best eye cream I've ever used (and I've tried a lot). Only need a small amount (the size of a grain of rice), warm it between the fingers and pat gently around the eye bone. If your under eye skin is delicate and crepey and showing signs of crows feet this product is brilliant, the skin around the eyes will drink up this cream all the way to your lash line so you don't need to apply a lot and it helps to replump the skin. I started using this Eye Creme to go with the night creme. I have sensitive eyes & skin & am delighted never to have had adverse reactions from either. So, I stick with both products.
Comments about the jar are the same as for the creme plus it being only available on line.
